  1. Showboat is a Type 1 PostScript font (created with Fontographer version 3.1) in an old nineteenth century marquée style.  It contains all 26 capital letters, plus rudimentary punctuation.  It looks a bit like this:

  22. Showboat is compatible with Adobe Type Manager, version 1.2 or higher.  The above screen shot is an ATM version of the font at 127 points.

Showboat the font is © 1990 by David Rakowski, Alle Rechte Vorbehalten.  It is distributed free of charge, with the following limitations: If you use the font, you ought to send a postcard to Victoria Salter, 703 Dodge Hall, Columbia University, New York, NY 10027, which reads: FISH GOTTA SWIM, BIRDS GOTTA FLY, I GOTTA LOVE OLD MAN RIVER UNTIL I DIE, ONLY MAKE BELIEVE UNTIL I GOTTA GO NOW.  The other limitation is that all the files you received here have to be included when you give SHOWBOAT to your friends, enemies, or other dangerous people.  Permission is explicitly granted for inclusion on public domain-shareware disk collections with the above provisos.
